Sakura by Marta Lozano Molano
Scoring: SSA Chorus
Level: Educational Music
In Japan, cherry blossoms (Sakura) symbolize the ephemeral nature of life. These flowers are beautiful and volatile, and are related to destiny and karma.
This music is a metaphor of the emotionally charged feelings of remembrance, nostalgia and maybe loneliness that Japanese people feel when celebrating Hanami far away of their beloved people.
Performed by Japonica Voices
Conducted by Mikiko Ridd
